Fiona G. Roberts

Fiona's paintings explore psychological states that result from structural societal practices and norms, particularly forms of oppression. Her paintings often allude to a sense of discomfort or unease but are intentionally indistinct and ambiguous so that there is enough room for the viewer to bring their own interpretation to the work.
Fiona works quickly in a fairly loose expressive style using various media and particularly likes working in oil paint on smooth surfaces.
